Happy Sprinter, Everyone! Nothing like a late-season snowfall to make you appreciate living in Wyoming, right?
We would like to thank David Hardesty for being our SafeSport Coordinator for the past two years. David did a great job in this role and his dedication and insight will be missed in that role.
That being said, we are looking for nominations for our next SafeSport Coordinator. If you or someone you know would be a great SafeSport Coordinator, send an email to Secretary Geno Palazzari.
Here is a brief description of the role:
- Complete SafeSport training.
- Recruit other adults to complete Safesport training so they can help in and around the rink and in locker rooms.
- Receive telephone calls, texts and emails from local GHA hockey members in regards to possible SafeSport violations.
- Make recommendations to the GHA Board.
- Investigate and report SafeSport incidences to GHA board, possibly report to state coordinator, possibly report to SafeSport directly.
- Keep updated list of SafeSport certified off-ice volunteers.
- Encourage and support the values, principles and philosophies of SafeSport.
